Angela’s album Grace Exhaled is a finalist in the category of Outstanding Gospel/Christian Recording of the Year in the Detroit Music Awards (DMA). The Detroit Music Awards are presented by the Motor City Music Foundation (MCMF) which is a Michigan 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, whose mission is to recognize Detroit area musicians working on a national, regional and local level. Its purpose is also to support and nurture the musical community in the Detroit metropolitan area, and to create a network for musicians that cuts across genres and styles.
Angela Josephine lived in the Detroit Metro area when she first started to write and perform. She often returns to play for churches and youth centers and also to visit many of her family members who reside in the area.
